Thanksgiving 2008 a day for remembring

First, let me wish a happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Whether you are home with your families, or far away. I hope you are surrounded by good cheer, good friends and good food.

The holidays are always a time the make me remember those folks who aren't here to celebrate with us, but who will always be with me.

My Mom and Dad, and Heather. A young soldier we adopted during her time in Iraq. She made it home from Iraq safely, but it was just one year ago that she was killed in an accident driving home for Thanksgiving with her family.


So today, when we sit around the table together with my wife's family, I'll ask that we all raise a glass and remember some very special people.
